Welcome to SAAREB!

2020 was a VERY challenging year for everyone. We all had to learn a new way to do things. Shift our perspective, learn new tools, still grow, yet in a different way. With all these changes, opportunities for success were still all around us. I am thankful that now in 2021 we have a better perspective on what we need to do to be successful in this pandemic environment. So now that we know WHAT and HOW to move forward, there is NO reason for us not to do it. for 2021, SAAREB will:

Refocus our energy to improving the home ownership rate for Black families in San Antonio
Providing our members with the tools and resources to be the BEST in the business.
Build upon our statewide and national presence and become an advocate for democracy in Real Estate

San Antonio Association of Real Estate Brokers (SAAREB)

is a 501(c)6 Non-profit organization and is the local chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB®), Inc. Our mission is to help African American and other minority families gain generational wealth through home ownership. Although the word Brokers is part of our name, anyone in the Real Estate profession is encouraged to become a member. Membership with SAAREB also allows you to become a member of TAREB and NAREB.

The Texas Association of Real Estate Brokers, Inc., (TAREB)

Is the state governing body for NAREB chapter located across the state of Texas. Members are known as REALTISTS, a term which describes the African American Real Estate Practitioner since 1947. Realtists promote the highest standards of professional integrity and follow a strict code of real estate industry ethics. We have a special charge to make certain that communities of color are treated with dignity and respect.

The National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB)

Established in 1947, NAREB® is the oldest and largest minority real estate trade association in America. Its mission is to enhance the economic improvement of its members and the minority community it serves. Members are known as REALTISTS® and focus on serving the under-served and developing creative and effective methods of opening the doors to promote democracy in housing, regardless of race, creed or color.
